Muscle Car Mania – Day of Speed

We promised our members new venues, greater geographic coverage and MORE “happenings” at events, and we are VERY EXCITED to announce the inaugural “Muscle Car Mania” in Oxford, ME. As we continue to grow, it is so important to work with venues that truly take a creative “partnership” approach to creating events with our club. A huge shout out to Dragway owner Les Williams and his crew for working with us as great event partners to make this happen. We expect that this event will take place annually.
For those not familiar with the two facilities, they are connected and New Oxford Dragway is an 1/8 mile with Oxford Plains Speedway being a 3/8 mile oval track. We will utilize both facilities for our show. Oxford, ME is about 2 hours North of Manchester.
This “Day of Speed” will feature:
– Car show with trophies on Oxford Plains Speedway
– Drag Racing with awards
– Grudge Racing
– Burnout Contest with awards
– Dyno Pulls

Camping at the dragway is an option and more details will be provided as we get closer to the event.
Because the dragway is an 1/8 mile, it allows for less restrictions, is less “intimidating” for non-regulars and of course allows us to setup “grudge races” between members. More details about each aspect of this event will be rolled out soon, but we wanted to get the date out and on everyone’s calendars.
